You can create backups on demand from the panel and restore them when needed. Backups can also be downloaded, which is worth doing for anything important.
Before any risky change
Take a manual backup before version updates, mod changes, plugin additions or large world edits, and name it something recognisable such as "pre-1.21-update".
Restoring
- Stop the server.
- Select the backup you want and start the restore.
- Wait for it to finish — interrupting a restore can leave world data in a mixed state.
- Start the server and verify the world before telling your players it is fixed.
Keep a copy somewhere other than the server it protects. Panel backups are convenient, but a downloaded copy is the one that survives a bad day.
