Two-factor authentication is the single most effective thing you can do to protect your account, and it takes about two minutes to set up.
- Open your account security settings and start the two-factor setup.
- Scan the code with any standard authenticator app.
- Enter a generated code to confirm the pairing.
- Save your recovery codes somewhere that is not the device running the authenticator.
Store recovery codes outside your phone. Losing the device and the codes together is the scenario they exist to prevent.
